The Lent - Tabor footbridge is located parallel to the existing Old Bridge in Maribor. The bridge structure is based on the classic two-shaft system, located on either side of the bridge deck. Their geometry is adapted to create an attractive curved cross-section, with the timber-clad structure linking the bridge deck and the railing into a single unit. The design also incorporates a vibration damping system which controls any vibrations that may occur. The bridge deck is directly connected to the bank abutments and intermediate piers, which rise naturally out of the river and allow the correct transfer of vertical and horizontal loads.
