The building of Primary School Pod Goro was constructed over 100 years ago. The original plan dates back to 1907-1908, but the building was not executed entirely according to it. The basement was not built according to the entire ground floor layout. In its original state, the building had a ground floor, one upper floor, and an unused attic. In the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, newer buildings were added adjacent to the original structure, but they were dilated from it and are not part of this project. The existing oldest part of Primary School Pod Goro, which is the subject of the project documentation, includes the northern wing of the main quadrangle with a central open atrium. The part of the building in question is L-shaped in floor plan. The discussed oldest part of the building includes a basement section with the main boiler room or technical room, the floors are (B) + GF + F1 + A and will be preserved in the reconstruction. The basement section lies on the eastern side of the northern “quadrangle” and partially extends south under the newer - later added - part of the school building. In this part, a deepened section of the elevator shaft with a machine room is located. The northwestern unbasemented part of the building is also being addressed, with static and energy rehabilitation of the foundations, ground floor, and first floor. The building was entirely undermined and underpinned. The entire basement was deepened with a new reinforced concrete slab 70 cm thick, and a completely new installation and machine room were carried out in the basement.
