DUC Center - Poljanje unit

Reconstruction and maintenance work of the living spaces on the ground floor (common areas) and in the 6 floors of rooms, with an additional new construction of an external personal-bed elevator. The total net area of the reconstruction is approximately 2400m2. In DUC Poljane, 109 existing rooms have been renovated, of which 79 are single rooms and 30 are double rooms. The renovation also includes all common areas for residents, communications, and service areas. Common bathrooms, kitchens, sanitary facilities, and staff areas - nurses, caregivers - have also been renovated. The renovated rooms feature new gypsum board linings, floors, and complete bathroom renovations. The renovation also includes new mechanical and electrical installations. The new construction of the personal elevator will further contribute to faster and more efficient care of the residents and enable quick access for medical staff in critical moments (paramedics). The goal of the renovation was to increase the standard and address critical conditions, cover gaps, and ensure appropriate standards in existing social welfare institutions. The renovation and construction were carried out in 3 phases, meaning that part of the home was operational throughout the construction, except in the floors that were being renovated.
