Built in 1612, the building represents an important piece of cultural heritage and was the first established school in Koper. The renovation of the building, which spans a total area of 2,800 square meters, included a reorganization of the interior spaces to improve the school’s functionality, a comprehensive restoration of the heritage-protected structure—including structural and energy rehabilitation—and the redesign of the inner courtyard and the square in front of the building.

Additionally, the works included the installation of an elevator in the school building, energy upgrades and replacement of gym equipment, the construction of an annex to provide separate access to the gym, and a small extension above the gym in the area of the school’s inner courtyard.
